My Learning Object
I would first like to highlight the more negative words that I have chosen to include in my worldle. I know it may seem very odd for me to include such negative words when my genius hour question is to inspire students with music. However, these words summarize events, sad events, that have pushed me to be who I am today, they have pushed me to want to use music to inspire rather than have music discourage students. Sadness, quitting and failure all refer to my bad experiences with music they reflect times where I have forgotten my words on stage, when i quit an instrument because I "sucked" or when teachers have told me I wasn't "good enough". It was times like these that made me want to quit, that made me HATE music, but they also made me promise myself that I would never, ever make a student HATE something, I would never discourage someone so much that they would want to quit, I promised myself that I would continue to love music despite what anyone said and that I would simply inspire students to love music too in some way, shape or form. Singing (not signing ^ which I misspelt in my wordle) is the main reason why I love music so much. Singing has been my passion for a long time, it is what has created my dreams for so long. Singing is what causes my infinite day dreams of me on a stage performing in front of millions people, making them happy with my music. I have sang in musical theatre productions as a child, where acting and dance also became a large part of what made music so inspiring to me. Iona was my musical home. Iona Catholic Secondary school was the art high school I attended, it is where I built a singing family with amazing girls and teachers. Iona is where I pushed myself musical beyond what I though i was capable of. Lastly, Happiness.. is what music makes me, and I can only hope to make other people happy with the use of music one day too.
